This will give us an opportunity to meet and for you to ask any questions you would like. I will invite you to say something about what’s prompted you to seek therapy but understand that it’s not always possible to speak of what really matters straight away. Many people find that once they have found someone they can really talk to they end up talking about all kinds of things they hadn’t realised were bubbling under – so don’t be surprised if whatever prompts you to come isn’t what you end up talking about.

I will treat what you tell me as confidential as far as the law and ethical guidelines of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy allow.

If we then agree to meet regularly each session lasts 50 minutes. I am happy to work with you for an agreed number of sessions or in a more open ended way. Sessions are usually weekly in the afternoon or early evening. If you have any questions about how I work, please do contact me and I'll do my best to answer them.
