Working Together - Susan Reid

The first consultation

Meeting with a stranger to discuss personal and emotional issues is a big step to take. The initial consultation is an opportunity for you to share in confidence what is troubling you, for you to ask questions and for us to discuss how we might work together.  You may want to make an appointment for ongoing therapy at this time, or you may want to go away and consider whether what I am offering is right for you.

I can work to an agreed number of sessions or in an open ended way.  Sessions are 50 minutes long and are offered during the week, usually on a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday in the early morning, day time and early evening.

I will treat what you tell me as confidential as far as the law and ethical guidelines of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy allow.
